Yin Yoga

Service Description

Yin Yoga is a slow pace style of yoga with postures that are held for longer periods of time ranging from 3 minutes or longer per pose is typical. Yin Yoga stretches and targets both the deep connective tissues between the muscles and the fascia throughout the body. The aim is to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility. Yin Yoga poses are also designed to improve the flow of QI, the subtle energy said in the Chinese medicine to run through the meridian pathways of the body. Improved flow of QI is said to improve organ health, immunity and emotional well-being. Yin is a more meditative approach to Yoga: it aims at cultivating awareness of inner peace. It is for everybody and people say they have the best night's sleep after a Yin class. The class is suitable for all abilities and modifications will be given.
